When It Rains, It Pours

Yesterday as I was surfing Instagram, I saw this post from a friend:

clap your hands

This brought back 2009 memories. While Caitlin was confined in the Pedia Intensive Care Unit (PICU) of the Philippine General Hospital, we have been shuttling back and forth everyday despite Manila’s horrible traffic. So 1 faithful night Marco & I decided to just camp out  in the car in the parking lot, to save money on gas and avoid traffic. We even brought dinner w us, tinolang manok. When we opened the car windows for air, a swarm of mosquitoes flew in and started eating us for dinner, and then when we started eating our own dinner we then realized it had gone bad because it sat in the car under the hot sun, the whole day.

We sat there in silence, then Marco goes in a robotic voice “Master, I don’t think this plan was thought through” (said the dinosaur from the cartoon movie Meet the Robinsons). We both burst out laughing. We laughed and cried at the same time.

Watch the whole clip or catch what I am referring to at 2:05 mins.

Life will bite you in the ass. I am blessed to have a partner who has always stood beside me, through thick and thin, and he always, always helps me see the light in the dark ❤️

That epic night did not end there. When we realized how much of a fail our plan was, we decided to head home. Along taft avenue, not 10 mins away from the hospital, our car over heated. Yep. As they say, when it rains, it pours. 😉
